The Flirt Dress

Hello February and hello fellow crafters! I’m so ready for this month because, I have my fingers crossed in hopes of warmer temperatures! Texas is insane right now and I am not built for the cold! I’m really hoping Mr. Ground Hog does NOT see his shadow. Another fab thing about February is, it is Crafty Momma Sierra’s birthday month! Let’s all wish the Sierra a Happy (early) Birthday!🎁🎈🎉🎈

We also can’t forget that February means Valentine’s Day aka world wide Date Day. So crafters..are you ready for your valentine? Have you planned your outfit yet? In my home Valentine’s Day gets the boot! Lol BUT that’s because Valentine’s Day is also my daddy’s birthday and we spend it celebrating with him. So while I don’t have my outfit specifically for Valentine’s day, I do have one ready to go for date night! Ahh date night, what is that exactly again? Kid free? Say whaaaat?? For those of you who will be rocking the night, how about the perfect dress? Petite Stitchery & Co has just what you need and it’s called The Flirt! 😉

The Flirt dress can be fitted or flowy. It comes in 3 different dress lengths (mini, knee and maxi) as well as 4 (short, half, 3/4, long) sleeve lengths! Here you can see all the lovely ladies rocking the different options, as well as purchase the pattern. 😉 It’s on sale until Monday Feb. 5!

Fabric requirements for the fitted skirt are structured fabric with at least 50% stretch(4-way). I used Ponte. You want something with good recovery like, stretch leather, liverpool and even cotton lycra would work. For the flowy skirt, any knit fabric will do. For the top, you will need 4-way stretch of at least 30%. I used double brushed poly. For this dress, I shopped at Knitpop. They are currently having a killer sale until Feb. 4th at 11:59pm. Note: You do need 1/4 elastic for this pattern. I wanted to point that out because not everyone has that small of a size on hand but, this time I actually did! lol

What I love: I sewed up the fitted mini with the 3/4 sleeve length. It’s love! I feel sexy and classy but most importantly, I feel comfortable! I don’t feel like a sardine in a can! The top is loose in all the right places, while the skirt hugs where it needs to be! 😉 After 3 kids this is pretty handy, as I’m out of practice and will be focusing on walking in heels. Haha

Here’s a few more pics:

Are you into the fitted or the flowy? Or both? Let me know in the comments section below, I would LOVE to hear from you! I hope you all have a great February and happy sewing!
