As we all are gearing up for Valentine’s day (did you see Sierra’s Kimono post? Va-Va-Voom) I took a mini detour to step out of my comfort zone and sew up fabric I never EVER wear. FLORALS! I sometimes feel like I’m the only sewist in the world who doesn’t dig florals. There are many floral fabrics that I find pretty but I know I’d never wear them until, I saw Knitpop’s Double brushed poly w/Velvet Roses. I had been craving something different than my usually solids and this DBP was just what I envisioned. Petite Stitchery & Co have the cutest non-batwing style Dolman and today I want to show you my Lulus!
I actually tested the baby version and loved it so much I had to buy the woman’s. Plus I’ll take any chance I get to match my baby girl. Baby Girl and I are wearing Purple Hacci Sweater from Purple Seamstress Fabric. Perfect fabric for a cozy and soft sweater.
The Lulu dolman comes in Women’s, baby’s, and girl’s sizes. You can purchase all 3 sizes in one bundle or you can buy each size individually or even just in baby/girl bundle. Each pattern comes with Elbow and long sleeve options. I really love the fit on the both of us, and its such a quick sew! It truly makes a perfect sweater or tee!
Are you a Boy mom? Or a Mom to both? I have two older boys who I occasionally sew for. So in a couple of weeks, I’ll be taking a spin on matching with my boys! Sound off if you are like me and find it hard to Momma & Me matchy-match with your boys! Please feel free to tell me how you’ve matched with the little man in your life and leave me ideas you’ve got.
May your bobbin always be full, Danielle the Seam Ripper
